This is a complex tale of four interlocking stories. A poor Morrocan family acquires a rifle to protect their goats. An American couple’s bus tour holiday is shattered when she is accidentally shot. That couple’s children, at home in the USA with their nanny/housekeeper, accompany her to Mexico to attend her son’s wedding. A Japanese father, whose wife has committed suicide some time ago, is unable to communicate with his teenage daughter. A tragic tale for all concerned.

Jag var faktiskt på väg att ge denna filmen en trea. Men jag har nu haft lite tid att fundera lite mera kring den och tycker då faktiskt att den är nog värd en svag fyra. Det som fick mig att ändra mig är Brad Pitt‘s och Rinko Kikuchi‘s skådespelarinsatser. Det gör ont bara jag tänker på scenen när Brad pratar med sin son i sjukhustelefonen. Mycket bra. Nu måste jag se Iñárritu‘s andra filmer.

Detta var en intressant film. Man får en ny insikt kring hur den kungliga familjen i storbritaninen tog prinsessan Dianas död. Jättebra skådespeleri. Vore mycket roligt om Helen Mirren får en Oscar för denna rollprestation, för den är utomordentlig.

A calamity at Dante and Randall’s shops sends them looking for new horizons – but they ultimately settle at Mooby’s, a fictional fast-food restaurant. Free from his dead-end job (and lodged in a new one), Dante begins to break free of his rut, planning to move away with his clingy fiancé. Dante is ready to leave the horrors of minimum-wage New Jersey behind, but Randal – always the more hostile of the two – starts to become overwhelmed by his own rancor.

Tycker den första filmen är riktigt rolig. Hänger dock inte med på varför det först nu kommer en uppföljare? Men den kan man ju inte missa. Men jag tror att detta är en film man ska se i glada kompisars lag. Kompisar med samma låga humor som en själv och de bör gärna ha ett ganska stort filmintresse. Filmen har alltså låg humor och en hel del filmreferenser. Alltså ungefär som den första filmen. Med andra ord tycker jag denna filmen känns som en upprepning av den första filmen.

Apartment building superintendent Cleveland Heep (Giamatti) rescues what he thinks is a young woman from the pool he maintains. When he discovers that she is actually a character from a bedtime story who is trying to make the journey back to her home, he works with his tenants to protect his new friend from the creatures that are determined to keep her in our world.

Med denna filmen visar M. Night Shyamalan att han är en ganska ojämn regissör. Vissa filmer han gör är riktigt bra (The Sixth Sense, The Village) och några som inte alls är lika bra (Unbreakable, Signs). Denna ligger väl någonstans mittemellan de sämre och de bättre. Riktigt spännande historia men känns lite tråkigt utförd. Paul Giamatti är som vanligt mycket bra.

A group of delinquents are sent to clean the Blackwell Hotel. Little do they know reclusive psychopath Jacob Goodnight (Jacobs) has holed away in the rotting hotel. When one of the teens is captured, those who remain — a group that includes the cop who put a bullet in Goodnight’s head four years ago — band together to survive against the brutal killer.

Gillar man skräckisar med lite mera gore, då bör man allt ta sig en närmare titt på denna. Tycker faktiskt den inte var så dum efter att jag funderat lite kring vart skräckfilmsgenret är på väg. Tycker att för varje bra skräckis som kommer så finns det fem som är dåliga. Men denna är faktiskt sevärd om man gillar skräckisar med lite gore.

A grizzly bear named Boog, domesticated by a park ranger, Beth, helps deer friend Elliot escape from the mullet-sporting hunter, Shaw. When the animals escape to the forest the pair become lost just as hunting season begins, made worse by the fact Boog doesn’t know how to survive outside of his beloved ranch. Elliott and Boog develop a strong bond not only between themselves but also with the wild animals and attempt to drive the hunters out of the forest.

Mycket rolig film. självklar har den ett tydligt budskap att man ska ta till vara sina kompisar. Riktigt härliga karaktärer. Inte riktigt lika rolig som Shrek, men nu börjar animerade filmer komma upp i en riktigt bra klass.

Mycket intressant tanke bakom filmen. Lite häftigt av Renny Harlin att ta sig an en thriller om häxkonst nu när det ämnet kanske inte är på topp. Men tyvärr tappar filmen lite. Den är inte riktigt så bra som man hoppats att den skulle kunna blivit. Men det finns värre sätt att spendera an kväll på än att titta på den här 🙂
