The film centers on a wounded Gulf war veteran who returns to his native Vermont suffering from bouts of amnesia. He is hitching and gets picked up by a stranger, things go pear shaped when a cop pulls them over and is murdered by the stranger. The vet. is wrongly accused of killing the cop and lands up in an asylum. A quack doctor prescribes a course of experimental therapy, restraining him in a heavy duty straight jacket-like device, and locks him away in a body drawer of the basement morgue. During course of his treatment he gets flashbacks and visions of his future , where he can foresee he is to die in four days time. The catch is he doesn’t know how. Thus commences the classic race against time.

Efter att ha läst Jimmys “långa” recension om denna film och nu sett den, kan jag inget annat göra än att hålla med. En riktigt bra film! Adrien Brody förtjänade verkligen den Oscar han fick för sin roll i The Pianist. I King Kong gjorde han ingen speciell roll. Men han är superb i denna filmen. Som vanligt gillar jag filmer med tidsförflyttningar. 🙂

Nej, Nej, Nej. Inte Jessica Biel eller ens Jamie Foxx kan rädda denna filmen. Jag gick in i tittande i hoppet att få se en popcorn rulle. Men den är värre än så. Den är helt hjärndöd och effekterna är inte super heller. Men den är pyttelite underhållande 🙂

The pregnant wife of the architect Jonathan Reeves (Michael Keaton) is missed after a car accident near a cliff, and the police do not know whether she is dead or abducted. Some weeks later, a mysterious man comes to Jonathan and tells him that his wife is dead and had communicated with him through Electronic Voice Phenomena. Sooner Jonathan is informed by the police that her body was found in the sea near a harbor, and the tormented grieving Jonathan decides to try to contact her using uncontrolled E.V.P and jeopardizing his own life.

Mycket intressant ämne. Bra skrådisar och ryslig handling. Men någonstans i mitten tappar filmen ens intresse och slutet är tyvärr lite väl töntigt för min smak. Tråkigt att den inte räckte hela vägen fram.

Karen then soon discovers that the house is haunted by a curse, a curse that will consume anyone who enters the house. Now after several horrific deaths, she finds herself locked in a race against time for she too is consumed by The Grudge…

Äntligen en bra re-make av en asiatisk skräckfilm. Även om storyn inte är den bästa, vakren i orginalet och då självklart i denna också. Så har dom verkligen lyckats med att läga till ett visst ljud och även “monstret” är riktigt äckligt gjort. Speciellt när det kryper upp på en person under täcket. *rysa*

Småmysig film som ger mig flashbacks till filmen Big. Fast lite mera en chick-flick.

1972. När Choi Tae-in vaknar upp på ett sjukhus i Vietnam är han den enda överlevande från ett överfall och alla hans mannar har massakrerats. Choi längtar bara hem, men han kommenderas att leda ett förband in i djungeln för att undersöka omständigheterna kring överfallet.

Annorlunda film. Riktigt ryslig i sina avseenden. Inte genom en massa hoppa-till ögonblick, inte heller via en massa gore. Den är väldigt psykiskt rysande.

Red Eye tells the story of a young hotel manager Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams) who after attending the funeral of her grandmother is on her way back to Miami to make it in time for work the next day. She takes the much delayed Red Eye flight of Fresh Air where she meets Jack Ripner (Cillian Murphy). Soon after take off she realizes that she is infact kidnapped by Jack who needs her in order to assassinate William Keefe (Jack Scalia), head of Homeland Security. Jack threatens her with her fathers death if she refuses to co-operate. At 30000 feet and nowhere to run, what does she do?

Jag tycker inte Wes Craven har gjort någon bra film sedan Scream. Var länge sedan jag hade så roligt åt en “sräckfilm”. Så hade inte så stora förhoppningar på denna filmen, men den var klart bättre än förväntat. En bra blandning av rysare och action.

Det är alltid lite farligt att se på filmer som fått alldeles för bra kritik. Många gånger upptäckerman att filmerna inte lever upp till ens förväntningar man fått. Många höjer denna filmen till skyarna, men riktigt så bra är den inte. Men den är riktigt riktigt bra. Heath Ledger borde få en Oscar för sin roll som Ennis. Synd bara för Philip Seymour Hoffman som äntligen blivit nominerad för en huvudroll. Miljöerna och fotot är vackert, men det förväntar man ju sig i en film av Ang Lee.

Amongst the man’s sophisticated circle of friends, surely there will be no shortage of suitors for the Bennet sisters. But when Elizabeth meets up with the handsome and – it would seem – snobbish Mr. Darcy (Matthew Macfadyen), the battle of the sexes is joined.

Konstigt att man kan göra en film som nästan inte handlar om något. Bara några personers öden och missförstånd beroende på deras stolthet och fördommar. Inte riktigt en film i min smak. Men den var ok. Den hade sina ljusglimtar och skådespelet ver det inget fel på.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire takes us deeper into the characters’ minds and the darkness of the Wizarding World. At the Quidditch World Cup, Voldemort’s followers gather and wreak havoc. Then, at Hogwarts, a legendary event takes place. The Triwizard Tournament! The Goblet of Fire judges who gets in and who doesn’t. On the fateful night, three champions are selected. But then the Goblet spits out one other. Harry’s. These two major events point to the return of Lord Voldemort. Dumbledore and the other teachers sense it, but it is inevitable. And Harry is no longer safe at Hogwarts. This fourth installment is the most dramatic, and also the scariest. Let me just say that all does not necessarily end well…

Vi har precis avslutat ett Harry Potter “maraton” vi har sett alla filmerna i en följd. Tyvärr inte på samma dag 🙂
Tea hade bara sett den första i serien, men har läst böckerna. Så hon ville se den nyaste av filmerna, men ville först se de andra.
Jag tycker detta är den bästa i serien. Jag tyckte den första var den bästa innan den här. Tycker den första har riktigt bra karatärsutveckling, vilket de andra saknar. Denna filmen är mycket mörkare än de andra och facktiskt riktigt spännande. Slutet är jättebra och jag orkar nog inte vänta till nästa film utan kommer kasta mig över böckerna. Kommer säkert bli talböckerna 🙂
Det blir en mycket stark 3:a till filmen.
