The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home. The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun, who meet one evening at a carnival. But they are separated by Allie’s parents who dissaprove of Noah’s unwealthy family, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah’s 200-year-old home that he restored for her, “to see if he’s okay”. It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her fiancé and her first love.

Det är konstigt hur ett slut kan knyta ihop säcken. Den avslutande delan av denna filmen gör allt. Hade det inte varit för den delen hade filmen faktiskt varit ganska långtråkig. Men allt innan den avslutande delen behövs för att göra filmen allt mera gripande. Jättebra skådespelarprestationer. Mycket smart upplägg av filmen.

It’s ‘vege-mania’ in Wallace and Gromit’s neighborhood, and our two enterprising chums are cashing in with their humane pest-control outfit, “Anti-Pesto.” With only days to go before the annual Giant Vegetable Competition, business is booming, but Wallace & Gromit are finding out that running a “humane” pest control outfit has its drawbacks as their West Wallaby Street home fills to the brim with captive rabbits. Suddenly, a huge, mysterious, veg-ravaging “beast” begins attacking the town’s sacred vegetable plots at night, and the competition hostess, Lady Tottington, commissions Anti-Pesto to catch it and save the day. Lying in wait, however, is Lady Tottington’s snobby suitor, Victor Quartermaine, who’d rather shoot the beast and secure the position of local hero-not to mention Lady Tottingon’s hand in marriage. With the fate of the competition in the balance, Lady Tottington is eventually forced to allow Victor to hunt down the vegetable chomping marauder. Little does she know that Victor’s real intent could have dire consequences for her …and our two heroes.

Underbart animerad. Kul tema för filmen. Intressant twist på beättelsen. Men jag hade gärna sett lite flera liknelser till gamla varulvsfilmer, inte bara allmänt kända filmer. Det bästa i filmen var nog “Dogfighten”.
Men jag tycker nog Chicken Run var snäppet bättre.

Jag har för mig att jag i något tidigare inlägg klagat på hur en del asiatiska filmer är upplagda, att det inte riktigt klipper filmer så att vi västerlänningar hänger med. Jag var förberedd på att detta skulle vara en rörig film, då det för det första är en film om amerikansk politik (kan det bli rörigare?) och för det andra är det en film av samma person som skrev Traffic, vilket också är en ganska rörig film. Den känns väldigt rörig och jag och flickvännen hade en kort diskussion efter filmen för att reda ut dom frågetecken vi hade, även om en del konstigheter till slut reds ut. Dock det är en ganska så upplysande film, som är värd att ses.

On the flight to Kentucky, Drew meets Claire (Kristen Dunst), a quick-witted flight attendant, who helps him navigate the rough waters ahead and proves that amazing things happen when you least expect them.

Ytterliggare en underbar film av Cameron Crowe, men tycker den inte riktigt ger mig samma feel-good-feeling som Almost Famous. Tyvärr går det inte att sätta 4++++ i mitt betygssystem, men det är det betyget som denna filmen får. Den är verkligen en date-movie 🙂

3 backpackers are in Amsterdam where they get locked out of their youth hostel. they are invited into a mans house where he tells them of a hostel somewhere in eastern Europe where the women are all incredibly hot and have a taste for American men. when they get there everything is so to good to be true the hostel is “to die for”

Trodde den skulle vara bättre. Blev väl kanske lite lurad av att Tarantino har satt sitt namn på den. Vissa på DVDForum liknande den med Descent, men det håller jag inte med om. Descent är mycket bättre. Fast jag tycker denna filmen håller en mycket skön balans mellan komedi, skräck och gore. Trodde faktiskt att den skulle innehålla mycket mera Gore efter det jag hört om filmen. Men tyckte inte det var så farligt.

Andy Stitzer has a nice life complete with an action figure collection and a cushy job at an electronics store. But the only thing is, he’s a 40 year old virgin who has just fallen in love with a woman, who doesn’t want sex in the relationship.

Riktigt rolig film i samma anda som American Pie filmerna. Många riktiga skratt i denna filmen. Skämt helt i min nivå, dvs låga 🙂

Denna var lite mysig. Men den sticker inte ut från alla andra skateboard-filmer. Samma tanke, samma händelser. Den har självklert en lite extra tvist, som gör den lite skoj. Tråkigt att Adam Brody gör nästan exakt samma roll som han gör i The O.C.

By describing “The Wolf’s” next victims, the students’ game is to see how many people they can convince – and if anyone will uncover the lie. But when the described victims actually do start turning up dead, suddenly no one knows where the lies end and the truth begins. As someone or something begins hunting the students themselves, the game turns terrifyingly real.

Inte illa! Är nog den bästa Teen-slasher jag sett sedan Scream. Himla schysst twist på slutet som twistar sig lite fram och tillbaka för att gör en osäker på hur det verkligen låg till.

Neah, Wesley Snipes brukar göra underhållande och lätt “hjärndöda” action-filmer, men denna är bara hjärndöd. Ingen höjdare, ingen riktig story, bara lite action.
