Legend has it that a tortured soul called Davy Jones lives beneath the sea with a terrible sea beast at his command. Unfortunately for the notorious pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, this particular legend is very real. Years ago, Jack made a deal with Davy Jones, who is now expecting him to make good on his promise by handing himself over to Jones’s servitude. But Jack will not give in without a fight, which is especially bad news for Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, who always seem to get caught up in Jack’s mishaps. If Jack can’t find a way to rid himself of Davy Jones once and for all, it may just spell the end for the three adventurers

Tycker inte denna filmen är i närheten av vad den första var. Den första är en riktigt popcornfilm. Dvs en film man kan sätta igång och börja titta vart som helst i och ändå följa handligen. Visst är det underbart att få återse, Will, Elizabeth och inte minst “Captain” Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp är lika bra (om inte bättre) som Jack Sparrow i denna. Helt underbara one-liners han har (titta bara på titeln på detta inlägg). Filmen är mycket underhållande, men på tok för lång. Det finns nästan en hel timme att trimam bort i den. Vad har kannibalerna med handligen att göra? Sedan blir man ju inte heller speciellt glad då filmen slutar när den börjar bli spännande med ett tråkigt, to be continued
